operating in a tough market with a serious giant of a competitor in the guys form equest led by mr malone, competing in this vertical would never be easy. spread of service is critical and i sense that in the end broadbean just struggled to make an impression. last time i spoke to mr malone he was talking 2000+ global boards and growing with some interesting country specific value add services too.
a brief snippet of the story:
Associated Northcliffe Digital (AND), the digital consumer division of DMGT, today announces the acquisition of Broadbean Technology, Europe's leading provider of online job advert distribution and response tracking solutions for the recruitment industry.
the entire story can be picked up here.
does this have any consequences for brett and the team at job adder? from all reports probably not as both job adder and postjobsonce services seem to be going from strength to strength servicing the recruitment industry. lets face it, apart from the server based fasttrack software and the lads from turborecruit, the recruitment agencies are poorly serviced from an ats perspective.
a more pertinent question is, will the larger media organisations start casting the net for potential acquisitions now that there are plenty of bargains around and for all the financial meltdown they still have plenty of cash to splash - if recent executive pay and bonus information counts for anything...
keen to hear your thoughts

Hi Mike
Took me a little while to pick up your post but thanks for the mention. Short answer is no this is not likely to impact on us here, other than to raise awareness and interest in job posting solutions. The good times are only just beginning for job posting software in Australia I think.
Best regards
Brett
cant say i disagree with you brett
reckon that the recruiters are so under serviced at the moment that all you guys need to do is bolt on/develop an applicant management/talent pool interface and you should scoop the pool ;)
go well
